*cough cough*

i've been sniffing, coughing and spitting that green goo for 3 days straight now. clearly, it can be deduced that generic antibiotics don't work THAT fast compared to branded ones (they're cheap! that's why).

anyway, even though my nose is red like Rudolph's on a wet rainy day, i'm so happy my baby's already confirmed sa position niya! yehey! =) congrats b. i'm so proud of you. buti ka pa. ako, wala pa tawn. huhu i'm pretty sure that raise would make her smile all the way back home tonight. she would probably even talk the whole night on the phone without so much as letting me cough.. haha

P.S. i added the Google AdSense widget. it's supposed to let this blog gain money. well, yeah, it does let you earn money as long as this blog gets 600+ views/day! waaaht? it gives you $1 a day for 3 months. my.. my.. that's a lot of page views. that's probably $0.20/click or less. hehe sa susunod nalang kung may website na talaga kami.. =)

Compelled to post?

I'm supposed to post a survey here but I'm still looking for one. Somebody (you know who you are! *grin*) forgot to tell me where she, err, placed the survey she found. Anyway, I''ve spruced up the site a bit to make it a bit more "active" even though obviously wala pa ring effect kasi sa totoo tinatamad mg-post ang mga may-ari kahit nkaka-online everyday. hahaha

Will somebody please visit our site?! That way, we'll be encouraged to post more often, donchatink? =) On a side note, Valentine's day is coming up! This is the 2nd Valentine's Day that I won't be spending with my baby (huhuhuhu). Hopefully, next year would be different, di ba b? And besides, Valentine's is just a petty excuse for those who don't give, show and express their love to their special someone everyday. =p

the suspense is a thrill

Six months has passed since the time I can still remember all the things that I have worked hard for four years in college plus half a year for the board exams.

I can't seem to recall nowadays those bits of information which I know are buried deep inside my brain. The fact of the matter is, I want to do what I'm professionally trained to do but not here in our beloved country. My reason and perhaps other nurses' reasons are simple: the whole system's messed up. I'm not just talking about our so called health care system which is almost next to Africa's. It's all about the politics, the economy, the environment and the reason for these factors, us Filipinos. It's amazing how we can be so disciplined and obedient to the laws of another country but so lenient, ignorant and disrespectful of our own laws.

Is it probably because those OFWs are intelligent, well-bred people? Maybe, but not all. Some are stupid and human just like all of us. Is it probably because our laws are flawed in the first place? A resounding "YES!" and it's still because of OUR beloved politicians, who WE blindly vote into office.

Well, enough about my idealistic views. It wouldn't matter here. I'd just let my idealism live in some other part of the world, perhaps that island below Australia. Not even the bastion of democracy(US) is fit for immigrants anymore. But whatever. It doesn't matter where you live your life. It's how you live life itself.

diamonds start as coal

Hello world! This is an experimental post for our first ever joint blog account. I don't know where to start so I'm just randomly thinking of ideas while I'm typing this third sentence. Now I'm on the fourth sentence, yipee! Hopefully this will be an active blog for the months and years to come. Long distances wouldn't hamper our postings. *wink* I have plans to move this to our own domain someday without omitting the "a" in "HersandHis" if you noticed that error in our blogspot address. Sadly, some other pair got to us first. grrr...

Answering your curiosity why the title is "diamonds start as coal"? It's because this blog is still on the beta phase. Someday it'll shine like diamonds. For now, it's still on the works. ^_^ Ok, I'm done. It's your turn to welcome them b..
