the suspense is a thrill

Six months has passed since the time I can still remember all the things that I have worked hard for four years in college plus half a year for the board exams.

I can't seem to recall nowadays those bits of information which I know are buried deep inside my brain. The fact of the matter is, I want to do what I'm professionally trained to do but not here in our beloved country. My reason and perhaps other nurses' reasons are simple: the whole system's messed up. I'm not just talking about our so called health care system which is almost next to Africa's. It's all about the politics, the economy, the environment and the reason for these factors, us Filipinos. It's amazing how we can be so disciplined and obedient to the laws of another country but so lenient, ignorant and disrespectful of our own laws.

Is it probably because those OFWs are intelligent, well-bred people? Maybe, but not all. Some are stupid and human just like all of us. Is it probably because our laws are flawed in the first place? A resounding "YES!" and it's still because of OUR beloved politicians, who WE blindly vote into office.

Well, enough about my idealistic views. It wouldn't matter here. I'd just let my idealism live in some other part of the world, perhaps that island below Australia. Not even the bastion of democracy(US) is fit for immigrants anymore. But whatever. It doesn't matter where you live your life. It's how you live life itself.
